Guitar Hero III has been a big seller this year on mobile, so it is no surprise to see a sequel appearing swiftly. It is not more of the same. While about half the game involves the traditional ‘tap the right key to accompany the music’ gameplay, it’s the other half that is interesting. The game puts you in charge of the career of a newbie rock star, taking decisions that will help them rise through the ranks to stadium stardom. In that sense, it is a strategy game, as you figure out how
to build your profile and hit the big time.
