CES 2013: Lenovo launches flagship K900 smartphone

The company doesn't have a track record of bringing phones to the UK, but if Lenovo wanted to start, the Lenovo K900 would be a great way to make an initial splash.

The K900 is the company's latest flagship smartphone, with a specification to match the impressive looks. With regard to the former, we're talking a mix of stainless steel and polycarbonate for the frame, which itself is just 6.9mm thick (or thin).

Beyond that sleek design, we have the inner workings. Those include a Z2580 2GHz dual-core processor (part of Intel's Clover Trail+ platform), a 5.5-inch full HD display with Corning Gorilla Glass 2 protection, a Sony-made 13-megapixel camera, 16GB of storage and Android 4.1.2 for the operating system.

As expected, this is launching in the Chinese market first, with no news on launches further afield. Here's hoping - at the right price, the Lenovo K900 could find itself a nice little niche in the UK market.
