Mobile Choice Consumer Awards: LG G3 wins Most Innovative Device

The most innovative device of the year is the LG G3, a smartphone which we felt moved the game forward more - and in more directions - than any other.

A laser-guided autofocus means the G3’s camera can focus in less than 300 milliseconds - faster than you can blink - while the 5.5-inch screen has a Quad-HD resolution double that of all of its rivals.

Add these headline features to LG’s unique rear-mounted power and volume buttons, plus the metallic finish which combines a premium look and minimum weight, and it’s easy to see why the G3 takes home the Most Innovative prize.

But 2014 was a vintage year for innovation, and the G3 was joined by smart new features from the iPhone 5s and its Touch ID fingerprint reader, the LG G Flex’s curved screen, the Nokia Lumia 1020’s huge camera, HTC’s Dup camera in the One (M8), and finally the Doro Liberto 810, a smartphone designed to be used with ease by the over-65s without scrimping on features.
