Mobile Choice Consumer Awards: Carphone Warehouse wins Best High Street Retailer

Mobile Choice readers have voted Carphone Warehouse as the best high street mobile retailer, beating competition from all four major UK networks.

Carphone Warehouse received the accolade at the Mobile Choice Consumer Awards, held in central London, and earned more votes from our readers than Three, Vodafone, EE and O2.

From arming their sales staff with tablets to carry out real time contract price comparisons, to ensuring their staff seem grounded and more anchored to honesty than others, Carphone Warehouse was the public’s favourite.

Three has worked hard this year to build partnerships with Samsung, Sony and HTC; 11 of the network’s 347 UK stores are in partnership with Samsung, while the company continues to roll out a major visual update to all of its retail space. This, plus staff who consistently score highly in bringing the ‘feel good factor,’ means Three is on a roll.

Meanwhile, O2 has used its sponsorships of The O2, O2 Academy venues, and England rugby team to help raise its profile, while the memorable Be More Dog advertisement campaign has successfully caught our readers’ attention.

EE proudly claims to be building a digital backbone for Britain with its widening roll-out of 4G, while Vodafone continues to enjoy its position as the behemoth of the high street. Partnerships offering free Spotify and Sky Sports content to 4G customers only goes to sweeten the deal.
