Envirofone has been voted the best mobile phone recycling service at the annual Mobile Choice Consumer Awards.
The UK’s largest mobile phone recycler took top honours at the central London awards night, having earned more votes from our readers than any other service, beating EE Recycle, Mauma, Asda Tech Trade-In and O2 Recycle in the process.
Envirophone has paid out more than £160 million over the past five years, with more than four million people in the UK having sold old phones to them.
Recycling services from networks EE and O2 both made the award shortlist, with the former covering your postage costs and the latter helps generate funds towards O2’s Think Big initiative to help improve the lives of young people.
Asda Tech Trade-In doesn’t just accept mobile phones, but MP3 players, digital cameras, sat-navs, portable games consoles and more. Asda will pay out up to £250 for your old tech - better than it collecting dust in a drawer!
Last, but by no means least, Mazuma also made the shortlist. The service recycles around 150,000 phones per month and uniquely pays the same for phones whether they are in working order or not.
