Poor Excellent

Look and feel

A smaller, sleeker body than its predecessor, the BlackBerry Bold 9700 is as nice to look at as it is to use.

Ease of use

It may take a little getting used to if you’re new to BlackBerrys, but this device is incredibly efficient and will keep you super organised.

Features

The feature set is where the BlackBerry Bold falls down ever so slightly, mainly because the home screen has limited customisability. However, it does offer push-email on a variety of webmail accounts, a welcome addition from the original.

Performance

The BlackBerry Bold 9700 performed outstandingly; browsing was super quick, emailing was perfection and the keypad is a dream to use. Top marks!

Battery life

A battery life was better than average, which is important for sending those important emails when you’re on the move.

BlackBerry Bold 9700

Pros: Perfect QWERTY keyboard, best email support on the market, super responsive trackpad.
Cons: Limited customisation possible, small screen size impedes web browsing and media viewing
