BatRest acts as both a cradle and a dock for Apple's iPhone
Seskimo has released a small, wallet sized gadget which acts as both a rest and a dock for Apple's iPhone mobile phone. The stand can be used as a cradle to enable you to view the iPhone and monitor text messages whilst you're at your desk, for example. It also allows you to support the iPhone in its landscape mode to help you to watch video sequences in comfort, for example, whilst on a plane.
Available in black, white or translucent, for $3.95, the BatRest can be folded up and flat-packed. As such, it is only 1.2mm thick and is constructed from a durable polypropylene material.
The company is adamant that the rest is strong enough to do the job. In fact, they tested the stand holding up a litre of orange juice with no problem and, by golly, if it passed the orange juice test then it's fine by us.
