The carrier has snaffled an exclusive on the third iPhone
The new iPhone will launch in June or July this year, and will be exclusive to O2, Mobile Choice has heard.
As expected from the hallowed close-lipped halls of Apple HQ, the actual specs of the phone are scarce, but chances are good it will indeed be that much-rumoured 'Nano' version of the iPhone 3G - a smaller, mid-range take on the iPhone 3G that will be cheaper, with lower spec memory, camera or screen size.
We hear that Orange has also been in talks with Apple to make the next iPhone available on Orange as well as O2 in the UK, but O2 has previously said they had a deal that was ‘multi-year and multi-device'.
According to Mobile Today, the operator is also planning to tweak prices on the iPhone 3G in May, in an attempt to clear stock before the launch of the new iPhone.
