New Sony Ericsson handset tops for memory?
More details have emerged regarding the new Sony Ericsson Xperia X1. The latest batch of information was sourced via a white paper which was recently published on the Sony Ericsson developers site.
The X1, which is one of most eagerly anticipated mobile phones of recent times and has been seen as the most serious potential competitor to the forthcoming 3G iPhone, is apparently slated for a September release. Amongst the new information are reports that it will feature the largest amount of memory yet seen by a smartphone: that's 256MB of SDRAM along with 512MB of NAND Flash.
Other details released by the white paper, according to the Engadget website, feature information on the power supply. In this case, a high capacity 1500 mAh lithium polymer battery, which reportedly should provide you with up to 3.1 hours while making continuous video calls, 6.5 hours while using UMTS or 10 hours talk time on GSM.
No UK release details or price information was mooted.
