Send texts and picture messages with 'Vodafone Connect to Friends'

Vodafone is launching a new application that enables users to send texts and picture messages from their Facebook profile. Anyone that subscribes to the service will receive 25 free text credits that can be used to send texts to not only their Facebook friends, but also non-Facebook users and groups. What's more, despite carrying the operator's name, ‘Vodafone Connect to Friends' is available to customers of any UK mobile network, though non-Vodafone users will need to purchase additional credits from online payment system Pay4it.

‘Vodafone Connect to Friends' is available to both prepay and contract customers, with each text message costing 10p. Vodafone is set to expand the service later this month to include picture messages which will be able to be sent for 30p. What's more, users will be able to text their friends while abroad for the same UK rates.
