First Android 2.0 handset to arrive in high street stores
Until today, the Motorola Milestone has only been available on the web, with online retailer eXpansys gaining exclusivity to the phone from December. However, The Carphone Warehouse will now be stocking the handset in 350 stores across the UK, as well as selling it on their own website at www.carphonewarehouse.com. The retailer will be offering the MILESTONE for free on 12, 18 and 24 month contracts from £35 a month. In comparison, eXpansys will continue to sell the MILESTONE SIM free and unlocked for £449.99 or for £49.99 on an 18-month contract with T-Mobile for £35 a month.
The Carphone Warehouse will be hoping to emulate the success that eXpansys has enjoyed from the MILESTONE, which saw it becoming the fastest selling gadget in their 11 year history.
