Classic K6 Red telephone box designed mobile released

They might be disappearing at a rate of knots around the UK - there's only one left in my area, for example - but the classic, K6 telephone box design has been commemorated and celebrated by this new mobile phone release.

Based on the K6 red telephone box design of yore, the London Calling Mobile Phone features a TFT screen packing in 65k colours along with a camera of unknown specification.

Of course, with a design such as this, the feature set is secondary to the novelty of the design - which joins a long list of oddities such as the Mickey Mouse phone and the hairdryer headset. Hence, this unlocked mobile, measuring 102 x 43 x 21mm and weighing in at 100g, only provides basic features such as SMS and MMS functionality, GPRS/WAP 2.0 and polyphonic ringtones (although they include Rule Brittania, God Save the Queen) whilst the featured wallpaper features similar patriotic and iconic images, according to the Pocket-line website.

The phone is available now in the UK and is priced at £85.
