T-Mobile customers can access over 500,000 mobile tracks for £1 a pop courtesy of its new dual download Mobile Jukebox service.
Mobile Jukebox will be available to download on to a range of 32 T-Mobile phones, including GPRS and 3G, contract and prepay handsets.
The service will offer tunes from the major record labels, Universal Music Group, Sony BMG Music, EMI Music and Warner Music International, as well as independent labels including V2 and Beggars Banquet.
T-Mobile customers will be able to access every chart track, plus half a million-odd others. Every track is dual download, so you get one version for storage in AAC format on your phone, plus another in wma format for your PC.
T-Mobile will store all customers track downloads at www.music.t-zones.co.uk as back up, so you can replace all your tracks even if you lose your phone.
Throughout July, T-Mobile will be offering every new customer who buys a Mobile Jukebox handset five tracks of their choice for free.
The technology behind Mobile Jukebox is powered by Musiwave, part of Openwave.
