New music system includes noise cancelling microphone
Soundmatters has released the Foxl, a high quality, portable music system. The unit is available in both standard and Bluetooth variants. The latter, of course, is of more interest here. Specifications for the new audio design includes stereo speakers running in the 80Hz-20kHz frequency range and including two 1″ Linear Magnetic Drive woofers tuned to 100Hz. In addition, lower music frequencies are handled by the Flatmagic Bass radiator. The unit is run by a Lithium-ion Bass battery which lasts up to 5 long hours.
Comparing the non-Bluetooth and Bluetooth versions, the latter does include an option to listen to wirelessly streamed music from a variety of devices, according to the Mobile Whack website. You can also take part in noise-free telephone calls because the Foxl features an internal noise/echo cancelling microphone.
The Foxl will be available in September and will cost $249 for the Bluetooth version.
