Carphone Warehouse to sell W760 handsets with preloaded free running video footage
Sony Ericsson is continuing its urban approach to the mobile market by launching a new marketing campaign that focuses on the art of free running. The 'Off The Wall with Sony Ericsson' campaign will involve free running events and in-store promotion across over 800 Carphone Warehouse retail stores, as well as a series of radio and print advertising to run throughout mid-July and August.
Free running involves participants using urban and rural areas to move in various ways, including running up walls and jumping across buildings. The first free running event hosted by Sony Ericsson and Carphone Warehouse will be on Saturday 26 July. Spectators will be able to vote for the best free runner at each event.
The free running campaign has been developed to support the launch of Sony Ericsson's new W760 Walkman and C702 Cyber-shot handsets, with the W760's boought from selected Carphone Warehouse stores including preloaded video footage of free runners.
