Sony Ericsson signs Usher

Grammy Award winner to help promote the W350i and W980i Walkman phones

Sony Ericsson has teamed up with singer and twinkle-toed Usher to help with its marketing campaign. As well as sponsoring the artist's upcoming European tour, he will also be the face of the W350i and W980i Walkman handset campaigns when the phones are launched in the coming months.

In addition, those who purchase the latest Walkman phones will have exclusive access to content as well as the chance to win tickets to Usher's show and even meet him on the set of a video shoot.

The Sony Ericsson W980i Walkman phone boasts a whopping 8GB of internal memory along with HSDPA broadband data speeds, making it one of the most powerful Walkman phones so far. The Sony Ericsson W350i is lesser specced, but sports an attractive slimline design in a clamshell body. The Sony Ericsson W350i and W980i are expected to start shipping in the next couple of months.
