Sony Ericsson announces the music-ready R300 and R306 mobile phones
Both the R300 and R306 radio phones have been released via Sony Ericsson. Both phones can be utilised as FM/AM receivers. The R300 is a candybar design and features the TrackID option which allows you to find out the names of the songs you record from any source and the ability to use parts of the tracks played on the radio as ringtones.
The rear of the phone resembles a radio, also found there are extra buttons which are radio specific that will allow you to store your favourite radio channels. A radio speaker is also included on the back.
Sony Ericsson's R306 differs from the R300 because this is a flip, clamshell design. Including an unusual keyboard array, this particular phone does, according to the Unwired website, include a larger display and a more powerful camera but no specifics were offered. Similarly, this phone also includes specific radio controls on the rear of the chassis.
No UK distribution or price information has been announced.
