3's Skypephone gets highly commended at the Global Mobile Awards 2008 in Barcelona

Sony Ericsson's Walkman W910i has rounded off a remarkable year with global glory after being voted top mobile handset at the Global Mobile Awards 2008.

The team of judges - which includes Mobile Choice editor Huw Morgan - commented: "The Sony Ericsson W910 is a superb all-rounder. A compelling, easy to use design that has captured the imagination of consumers around the world in 2007."

Meanwhile 3's groundbreaking Skypephone was highly commended and impressed the judges as "an innovative partnership between Hutchison 3 and Skype. In addition to the headline Skype service, the phone offers extremely good value for money with a wide range of features not previously seen at this price point."
