Viral email campaign to highlight Sony Ericsson W595's YouTube application
Sony Ericsson is encouraging people to play a prank on friends and workmates this Halloween.
By providing your personal details and a photo to a secure site, your friends will receive a YouTube video depicting a personalised news report claiming that you have been the victim of a seance gone wrong.
The video can be sent via email or through Facebook and will include a photo of yourself, a map of where the alleged incident took place along with a description of your personality.
The spoof campaign aims to highlight that, through the operator 3, Sony Ericsson's W595 handset can be used to record video content and send it directly to YouTube.
