New mobile phone to include Dolby Mobile sound
Sharp has released its new SH706iw mobile phone in Japan. The new phone features Dolby Mobile to improve overall music quality. Other features include a large, 3in touchscreen LCD that supports VGA resolution at 480 x 854 pixels. A camera is reportedly included, although it's not as impressive as the rest of the mobile phone with just a 2MP specification, although it does offer auto-focus. MicroSD and microSDHC is also provided to expand the in-built memory for music and memory purposes but to what figure has not been declared.
Sized at 109 x 17.8 x 50mm and weighing in at 119g, the new phone will give you 195 call minutes in 3G mode plus a standby time of around 490 hours. Video calls can also be made - battery life extends to 105 minutes for those, according to the Phone Area website. The handset's available in white and brown.
