New handset resembles a mini-laptop computer
Sharp has announced the forthcoming launch of a new mobile phone called the 9225H. Featuring a QWERTY keyboard, the new handset resembles a mini laptop in its form and style.
According to the AVing website, the new phone, which was spotted at the recent CEATEX 2008 show and has been designed by SoftBank, features a chassis which links the cover and keyboard by a book-like hinge.
While there is no word yet on price or a release date, observers do say that the phone features a 3.5-inch internal VGA screen plus a multimedia player. Reports say that a built in camera is included. However, it appears that the specification is a relatively low 2MP. The phone also includes a TV tuner plus a microSDHC slot for later memory expansion to pack in extra music and videos. However, the final capacity of the slot is unknown.
