Another hardy handset from from the Samsung stable
Samsung has announced the release of another rugged phone - a sub-genre of mobile phones that the company seems to be addressing with more interest every month. The company is saying that the handset is just as ‘tough' as the Sonim XP1 and arrives with a quad-band GSM / GPRS / EDGE and UNTS 2100MHz. Reports say that the phone is splash and dust resistant.
The phone is said to include a camera built into the phone but the performance of the feature is not particular impressive at just 2MP. The phone also comes with a secondary video call camera and a TFT screen that spans a reasonable 1.9in, says the website GSM Arena.
Other features included in the new design include an MP3 player and MPEG4/3gp video player plus a FM radio with RDS to round off the entertainment compliment.
Finally, Bluetooth is included along with USB 2.0, a Flashlight and Compass plus an Altimeter and Pedometer and a microSD card slot.
