New design to run on bada OS?
Samsung, which has just announced the Monte mobile phone, is to appear in the forthcoming MWC 2010 show in Barcelona, Spain from the 15th of this month. The manufacturer is, so say observers, due to announce its first mobile phone based upon its new bada operating system. However, in addition, it appears that the mobile phone giant will also announce a new phone with a Super AMOLED touch-screen with a WVGA resolution, say reports.
According to observers, the Super AMOLED screen technology integrates a touch sensor and performs far better under direct sunlight. In addition, the screen has an improved clarity performance by a factor of five over the AMOLED original.
The Samsung Hub website has said that any Super AMOLED phone will be running the new bada OS. There is no image of the new Super AMOLED screen currently available but some experts believe that the screen, in the accompanying image below, represents that same technology. It is sitting next to an iPhone. Both phone screens are set to maximum brightness.
