New candybar design offers 5MP camera
The new Samsung i7110c mobile phone has been spotted in the wild for the first time via the website, KingMobile. Fashioned as a candbar, the new design includes a 5MP built-in camera plus a flash and a QVGA screen with 262k colours and, for external expansion, a Bluetooth slot plus a microSD port. Entertainment is supplied by a FM tuner plus a multimedia player. Control is allocated via a navigation cube which can also be used as a navigation centre. There are reports that GPS is included but this is not confirmed. In addition, observers say that the phone is based on the Symbian system.
Reports on the GSM Helpdesk says that, despite the ‘i' series normally being aimed at a business user, this new design appears to be targeted towards the more general user. There have been no details regarding distribution for the UK or an associated price.
