New clamshell Samsung handset supports 3G
Samsung has announced the forthcoming release of the J638 SLM mobile phone. The new tri-band handset supports 3G and HSDPA.
According to the Mobile Whack website, the phone also includes a screen spanning 2.1in whilst supporting 260k colours. There is a camera included with a 2MP specification plus a 4x digital zoom. The featured media player supports the relatively high quality AAC and AAC+ music files which are superior to MP3 plus MP4 video files.
Bluetooth is featured for external connection along with a microSD slot plus a document reader to allow you to read Microsoft Office, PDF and HTML files plus GIF and JPG images.
The new mobile phone is based upon a compact, brushed metal, chassis. Samsung has already said that the handset will come in a range of colours including: brown, bronze, lilac and blue.
At the moment, no distribution or price details have been announced.
