Samsung smartphones benefit from new technology breakthrough
Samsung has announced new software that will enhance and increase built-in memory for Samsung's smartphones. The targeted memory is the embedded flash memory portion of the design (i.e. OneNAND, Flex-OneNAND and moviNAND) and the bottom line is to enhance the features of the phone
The vice president of Memory Division Samsung Electronics Co, Ltd, Young Joon Choi said: "The new software, which significantly upgrades performance of our embedded memory solutions, is expected to make OneNAND and other high-performance, high-density memory solutions such as the 16GB moviNAND even more desirable for advanced handsets, speeding the adoption rate of Samsung's embedded memory solutions."
In effect, says Business Wire, those data movements within the memory, that are given instructions by the operating system, are speeded up. The new file system/flash driver combination, when working with any of the memory chips and the operating system, will boost performance through faster booting, downloading and searching.
