European version to have new name, specs confirmed
The Samsung C3510 Corby Pop, which has been the subject of recent rumours, has further revealed itself...but, this time, to European audiences and under a new moniker.
European customers will see the new, cut down, version of the popular Samsung Corby handset, as the Samsung C3510 Genoa. The phone is part of Samsung's plans to shift 100 million touchscreen phones during next year.
The new European version of the phone, which recently popped up on a Czech-based Samsung website (right alongside another in Turkey, of all places) confirms that the design is different from its Corby relation along with a 2.8in touchscreen, a resolution of QVGA quality, Bluetooth for connections to wireless accessories, FM radio for entertainment, a basic 1.3-megapixel camera and a microSD slot to boost the internal memory, according to the Technews AM website.
Expect a first quarter 2010 release, in Europe, with a cut down price of around £90.
