Parrot’s MINIKIT Slim car-kit

17 July 2008

No voice tags just say the name and get connected

Parrot has unveiled an ultra-slim handsfree device. Fundamentally built for in-car use, the Parrot MINIKIT Slim can also be used at home or in the office for conference calls. Simplicity is the key behind the MINIKIT Slim, with only three keys on the device; call answer, call end and the volume control. In addition, the device is ready to run straight out of the box, synching automatically with as many as five handsets once a Bluetooth connection has been struck. The Parrot MINIKIT is able to store up to 2,500 contacts, which is a fair amount. What's more there's no need for any voice tags, with the device recognising any voice. Simply say your contacts name and the Parrot MINIKIT will call them instantly.

Having seen the Parrot MINKIT in action, we can vouch for the excellent call quality. The device also comes with a clip that allows it to be attached to a car sun visor for example. It's impressively slim at just 13mm wide while it only weighs 83 grams.

The Parrot MINIKIT SLIM will be available from all good retailers from the beginning of August, with a recommended retail price of £59.99. A limited edition MINKIKIT Chic, which features a flora design motif, will also be on-sale at the initial launch.
