First member of Xda range to be available on both prepay and contract
The latest addition to O2's Xda smartphone range is the first to be enjoyed by both contract and prepay customers. The O2 Xda Zest is also the first device to be purposefully built for O2. It was designed by laptop manufacturer Asus, whereas the likes of the O2 Xda Ignito was a rebranded version of the HTC Touch Diamond.
Operating on Windows Mobile 6.1, users will be able to access their email using Mobile Outlook, while they will also be able to view and edit Word, Excel and PowerPoint documents. Housing built-in Wi-Fi and HSDPA, the Xda Zest also comes with a free two week co-pilot sat nav trial with full UK and Ireland GPS mapping. Add a three-megapixel camera, MP3 player and FM radio into the mix and O2's prepay and contract customers look set to be well catered for.
The O2 Xda Zest is available now from O2 stores and online at http://www.o2.co.uk/. Prepay customers will be able to purchase the device for £249.99. It will also be available from free on contract.
