Plasma screens go to war with OLED technology

Panasonic revealed, this week, that it has been further developing its plasma technology to enable it to be adapted for use on mobile phones. As mobile-based TV becomes increasingly popular, the demand for higher quality screen will rise.

Panasonic wish to get in on the act now, before OLED (the technology some commentators believe will be utilised by the next generation of iPhones) takes a secure foothold.

Panasonic is aiming to move outwards from mobile phones: using plasma technology on everything from cameras to cash points.
