Tessera's OptiML Zoom solution enables 3x optical zoom capabilities

Optical zoom looks set to become the next camera phone feature. At present the Samsung G800 is the only mobile phone on the market to boast optical zoom. Tessera's OptiML Zoom solution uses a combined unique lens design with specialised algorithms that will keep the size of the phone compact and void of moving parts.

Tessera's OptiML Zoom solution is now available for licensing and we don't expect it to be long before one of the main manufacturers snaps it up.
