O2 continues England Rugby sponsorship

Four year deal goes beyond 2011 Rugby World Cup in New Zealand

O2 has extended its sponsorship of the England rugby team for another four years. The deal which is worth £4million a season will run until 31^st August 2012 during which England will participate in the 2011 Rugby World Cup in New Zealand. While the RFU and individual England squad members will no doubt benefit from the deal, O2 promises its customers more player access, both on a squad and individual level with unique mobile content becoming available over the next four years.

O2 and the RFU has enjoyed a successful partnership since English rugby became professional in 1995.
