New candybar handset dust resistant too
A new mobile phone from Nokia has been leaked that reveals itself as being splash and dust resistant. It might not go to the lengths of the Sonim range but does compete with recent designs offered by Samsung, for example.
The new design, to be known as the Nokia 3720, is contained within a neat candybar chassis which helps to create the resistant seal. Of course, a sliding chassis would have created large problems for the designers in achieving the dust and water free highlights.
Not yet announced by the company, the feature set for the new mobile design is, as yet, unknown but observers do say that the final feature list will be bracketed within the mid-range to low-range with an operating system that more than likely rests upon the S40 standard, according the Ubergizmo website.
Reports say that the new 3720 phone should be released sometime in September of this year via T-Mobile in Europe. No price has yet been mooted but observers say that it should be pretty low.
