Nokia E63 joins the E71 in range of QWERTY-enabled smartphones
Nokia has announced the newest addition to its Eseries range of business-focused smartphones that run on the S60 platform. The E63, with its full QWERTY keyboard, looks a lot like the successful Nokia E71. It is available in a red or blue finish and features a range of business-friendly features, such as Wi-Fi and easy-to-set-up email. The handset also has a dedicated key for accessing your contacts, calendar and email.
The E63's specifications are not as the impressive as the E71. It is 3G, rather than HSDPA-enabled and the camera is two megapixels rather than 3.2. However, it does sport a 3.5mm jack port, which the E71 did not.
Like the E71, the E63 has a Switch Mode feature, which lets users switch between business and consumer homescreens. The E63 also enables easy access to Mail For Exchange and includes Files on Ovi, a service that provides remote access to a user's PC files, even when stored offline. Nokia says that E63 customers will get access to 1GB of free online storage.
