Nokia announces partnership that will enable users to catch up on their favourite BBC programmes
The much anticipated Nokia N96 will be the first of many Nokia devices to be pre-loaded with a BBC iPlayer application. BBC iPlayer enables people to download and stream a host of BBC TV and Radio shows that have been shown in the last seven days for free. When the N96 goes on sale on 1 October, customers will be able to watch shows such as EastEnders and Dragon's Den or listen to the likes of Radio One's The Chris Moyles Show and Radio Four's The Archers direct from their handset.
Nokia has announced that the purpose built application will be pre-loaded on future Nokia handsets as well as being available to download via bbc.co.uk/mobile. Although BBC iPlayer will be available for free on Nokia handsets, data charges may apply.
