Mobisodes will cater for 'content grazers'.
Nokia is planning to feature a host of exclusive TV channels for inclusion within its new N96 software.
The new mobile phone is slated for release on October 1st in the UK and, in addition to the iPlayer facility which has already been revealed here on Mobile Choice, Nokia has also announced a range of additional TV content for the new handset.
The new channels will arrive under the banner of Capsule 96. This idea smacks of a marketing department on too much caffeine. Apparently, each episode present on the N96, under the Capsule 96 banner will run for a 96 second burst.
The company told the Tech Radar website that, "Catering to the new generation of time poor 'content grazers' who want insightful, up-to-the minute content in condensed packages to watch at their leisure, Capsule N96 offers high quality 'infotainment' to view on the go."
Such a statement rasises lots of issues - not the least is Nokia's range of questionable assumptions. Nevertheless, each ‘mobisode' will feature motoring, fashion, gadgets, comedy, culture and homes and more.
