X10 and Pop look-a-likes surface
Both Sony Ericsson and LG are on the development march again. Proof positive comes from the accompanying pictures which reveal new handset developments.
Specifically, via Sony Ericsson, is a new phone powered by the Android operating system that arrives with a reported codename of Robyn. Observers have commented that it resembles a miniature version of the X10 mobile phone and comes complete with a touchscreen and QVGA resolution in addition to that company's latest software features such as Mediascape and Timescape.
The new handset via LG, the GD880, reportedly looks like the LF GD510 Pop and should arrive with touchscreen of WVGA resolution and packing in 480 x 854 pixels. Fast data transfer should be provided via HSDPA along with other features, according to the GSM Arena website, such as FM radio, Bluetooth, 5-megapixel camera, GPS, Wi-Fi and a microSD slot.
There's no price details for the Sony Ericsson design but the LG handset should be available for €350. There are no other release/distribution details available.
