First ever touch-screen BlackBerry device available free with Vodafone UK
Vodafone UK is today taking pre-orders for the BlackBerry Storm, RIM's first foray into the touch-screen market. Available for free on a two year, £35 a month contract, the BlackBerry Storm sports a 3.25-inch touch-screen that depresses slightly, while each virtual key will light up slightly when touched. Built-in accelerometers mean content can be viewed in either portrait or landscape mode, while all your email, SMS and social network notifications will be stored in one single inbox.
Find&Go, Vodafone's sat nav application will come pre-embedded on the Storm, with the first six months for free. Other features include a 3.2-megapixel camera, up to 16GB of exchangeable memory, along with the ability to view and edit attachments, including JPEG's and Word, Excel and PowerPoint documents.
To pre-order the BlackBerry Storm, customers can visit www.vodafone.co.uk/storm or a Vodafone retail store. At present it is unclear when customers will actually receive the device.
