Motorola announce the forthcoming release of VU30 and VU204

Two new clamshell handsets target the budget and mid-price markets

Motorola has announced the release of two new clamshell handsets which target both the budget and mid-price markets and will be known as the VU204 and VU30 respectively.

The VU30 features an external display that is touch sensitive and is designed to be user friendly. For example, you will be able to take pictures with the mobile and also play music without ever having to open the phone itself.

The built-in camera is not especially stunning at just 2MP but it does feature advanced imaging and video recording. Other features include audible turn-by-turn directions with VZ Navigator plus a possible internal memory expansion up to 8Gb with the aid of a microSD slot.

The VU204 supports a variety of mailing features including Mobile IM, email and text and multimedia messages. It's VGA camera - with a currently unknown specification -  features a dedicated camera button and a 4x digital zoom. You also get a stereo Bluetooth feature.
