New Motorola handset comes with a full QWERTY keyboard
Motorola is reportedly working on a new QWERTY-based smartphone called the Napoleon Q9. This CDMA phone features quad band and EDGE for data transfer. It runs on Windows Mobile 6.1 and includes a fingerprint scanner. An internal camera is included but it's likely to be no more than a 2MP affair. The handset should include WiFi, however. The screen is rated at 320 x 230 pixel resolution. Information on entertainment features is a little bare but we have heard the the chassis features stereo speakers. The full QWERTY keyboard is supported by a 1500mAh battery.
The name cannot pass without comment, of course. Is this moniker a statement of intent by the struggling company or an announcement which reflects delusions of grandeur? Whatever it is, the company is certainly putting up a fight as this is the latest in a long list of new releases, announcements and rumours.
