New Walkman handset due for release in July
Reports say that the new Sony Ericsson W350i will be released in July in the UK. The new mobile phone is a flip-down design, crammed full of the latest Walkman features including a new, yet undisclosed, software addition called Sound Snacks.
Other features for the new handset, measuring 10mm thick, are EDGE technology for data transfer, Bluetooth to wirelessely attach third party accessories and 512Mb of internal memory. The new W350i will arrive in either blue - described as ‘ice blue' - as well as hypnotic blue (don't ask) plus graphic white. When the handset flip down cover is closed, the phone can be used as a music player. The screen spans 1.9in.
According to the Pocket-lint website, the only mystery surrounding the launch of the new W350i is that there are rumours that a second mobile phone will also be announced at the same time. Nothing more is known about the handset bar the fact that Sony Ericsson refer to it as a ‘hero' phone.
