New design slated for September launch
The Windows Phone 7 Series operating system was announced at the recently held MWC 2010 show in Barcelona, Spain. Microsoft company boss, Steve Ballmer, talked about 'holiday season' handset releases which is often a veiled reference to dates close to Christmas. LG is obviously not reading the script, however, as it appears that the company will have a new handset based upon the new Windows OS by this September.
Known by some observers as the LG Apollo, the new phone is even noted, by some sources, as being ready for an August launch, according to the Engadget website.
There are, however, no confirmed details about the new design. We’ll have to wait and see about that.
Of course, there are also a bunch of other manufactuers who are also readying Windows Mobile 7 Series handset. They include:: HTC, Samsung, Sony Ericsson, Dell, Garmin-Asus, Toshiba and HP. Expect phones from these companies just before Christmas and during early 2011.
