Customise your mobile user interface with downloadable fonts to express your personality
Vodafone has teamed up with Monotype Imaging Partners to launch a novel way of customising your handset. FlipFont allows users of Symbian OS or Nokia S60 supported phones to choose downloadable fonts to replace the standard font found on their user interface. It means customers will not only be able to personalise their handsets with ringtones and wallpapers, but also their user interface.
There are currently nine downloadable fonts, with more expected to be rolled out in the coming weeks and months. Vodafone customers can download them from Vodafone Live! with the cost of fonts starting from £1.99.
Customers will be able preview the fonts before purchase, while they can ‘flip' between different ones, should they purchase more than one. Handsets that support the FlipFont solution include the Nokia N73, N95 and N95 8GB.
