New handset arrives with full QWERTY keyboard
To be released in October into the American market initially, the LG Lotus will offer users a full QWERTY keyboard for those wanting to make notes and create documents or users who find it easier to send texts with a full keyboard layout.
Designed in a rather odd clamshell chassis that certainly takes the eye for its unique format, the phone will, says the Softpedia website, be initially aimed at the Sprint company in the US and so will be occupied with proprietorial software from that company but it will also come with Bluetooth for connection to headsets and the like plus WiFi for long range data transfer and a built in camera that, reports say, is rather disappointing in its specification as it will only offer 2MP in resolution.
The mobile phone, says observers, will arrive in two colours: satin black and textured
purple.
