Mobile TV-based mobile phone announced by AT&T
LG's Invision mobile phone has been announced for imminent release into the US market. Although the mobile TV facility has yet to make a splash in the UK, this mobile television supporting handset is the smallest such device to be released into the US market, measuring 4in x 2in x 0.5in.
Other features include a built-in camera, although the specification is a wholly unimpressive 1.3MP. What is more intriguing is the video share calling capability and, according to the Phonescoop website, "...side loading compatibility from Napster To Go, unrestricted MP3 audio files and streaming digital radio via XM Radio Mobile," plus a Bluetooth 2.0 connection.
Vice president of Product Strategy and Marketing at LG Mobile Phones, Ehtisham Rabbani, said, "LG continues to focus on what consumers are craving from their mobile phones and the Invision is an example of our effort to offer an easy-to-use multimedia mobile device at an affordable price. The Invision incorporates all of the latest entertainment technologies in a sleek form factor that is sure to get noticed."
There has been no indication of a UK release.
