Jibe Mobile launches media sharing service

First 300 Mobile Choice readers will gain early access to service

A new service has been introduced that gives you quick and easy access to your own online content direct from your mobile phone. Jibe works on both your mobile and the web, and offers chat and sharing of content across social networks, carrier networks and devices, thus storing all your contacts details and statuses in one place.

As well as accessing your own online content, the Jibe platform also allows you to browse media on YouTube, Flickr and Yahoo! News, alerting anyone else in your Jibe address book that you think may find it of interest. Jibe members can communicate with each other from mobile-to-mobile, mobile-to-web, web-to-mobile or even web-to-web, and a Jibe widget can also be downloaded on Facebook.

Although the service, which is free, is only in its beta stage, 300 Mobile Choice readers can have early access to it. Jibe supports more than 100 handsets from all the major manufacturers including Blackberry, LG, Nokia, Samsung and Sony Ericsson.
