At least one of the mobiles will be available before year's end
Reports have reached us that HTC is working on a new batch of smartphones, one of which may be released this year.
The new designs underway via HTC are the Leo, Click, Mega and Rome. Of the batch, we have more information on the Leo which will arrive with two displays. The first, the internal model, will feature a WVGA screen packing in 480 x 800 pixels along with a 16:9 aspect ratio. In addition, the external screen offers a QVGA resolution. The Leo promises to be a powerful handset as this Open GL 2.0 supported handset is reported to support the Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, like the Toshiba TG01 and rumoured Sony Ericsson Rachel. Observers say that the new Leo will be a similar design to the long lost HTC Omni, the handset that should have been released years ago but never appeared on the market, according to the WMPoweruser website.
As for the Click, Mega and Rome? The theory is that the Click is an entry-level Android phone. Information on the Rome and Mega, however, is scarce.
