HTC Shift provides a true push email experience, although it's a bit too big to fit in your pocket
Combining the power of Windows Vista and Microsoft's new Origami Experience 2.0, the HTC Shift provides always-connected 3G/HSDPA connectivity that allows push email for up to three days without having to recharge. The Microsoft Origami Experience 2.0 provides access to a finger-friendly browser, RSS Reader and media player. Also included is Origami Now, which provides one-touch access to email, calendar, weather and to-do lists. What's more, HTC's SnapVUE technology allows instant access to emails, calendar, SMS messages and contacts without the need to fully boot up the device.
While the HTC Shift is fully connected with quad-band, Bluetooth 2.0 and Wi-Fi, with its seven-inch tilting touch-sensitive screen and a weight of 800g, it's a little too big to fit in your pocket.
The HTC Shift will be available exclusively on Orange from the end of February for £999 with a data tariff.
