HP iPAQ Voice Messenger and iPAQ Data Messenger available SIM-free or through Vodafone
Smartphone specialists HP has enhanced its iPAQ range by unveiling two more devices. The HP iPAQ Voice Messenger and iPAQ Data Messenger have similarl specifications – they are equipped with HSDPA and Wi-Fi internet connectivity and have built-in GPS and Google Maps.
Both house a 3.1-megapixel camera complete with auto-focus, built-in LED flash and 5X digital zoom, as well as a five-way optical navigation button that helps you glide through menu options. With access to Microsoft Office Mobile files, business users will be able to view Word, Excel and PowerPoint documents on the go.
There are also some differences. The HP iPAQ Voice Messenger sports a standard alphanumeric keypad with a 2.4-inch QVGA screen, while the iPAQ Data Messenger boasts a full slide-out QWERTY keyboard along with an integrated 2.8-inch QVGA touch-screen display.
The HP iPAQ Voice Messenger will be available SIM-free from November with a recommended retail price of £333 (including VAT). The iPAQ Data Messenger is priced at £399 (including VAT). Both devices will also be available through Vodafone's business sales channels, although no pricing details are available yet.
