T-Mobile's revolutionary G1 phone will be available much sooner than expected. The G1 which is the first phone to run on the Android open source mobile software platform will be hitting stores from 30 October. Customers can pre-order their phone to avoid disappointment, with 25,000 people having done so in the UK already. The T-Mobile G1 features a large touch-screen and a full slide-out QWERTY keyboard with one-touch access to a variety of Google applications including web search, Google Maps, Google Talk and Google Mail.
